Hotel Daniel Paris

Well, the tickets are booked and we will be on our way to Paris in a couple of weeks time.  Needless to say we are very excited about travelling to France and visiting the La Ville Lumiere!  I so much wanted to stay a while at Hotel Daniel but it shall be the one that got away this time around as we left it too late to book.  I happened to have posted about De Gournay wallpaper back at the beginning of the blog which inadvertently featured the guest lounge of this hotel. I absolutely love the Chinoiserie styling and thought it was meant to be when we were researching accommodation and the hotel was the first one we came across. Definitely next time...

Wallpaper Update

At long last we had the O+L Grove Garden wallpaper installed. Luckily we managed to get it all up before Christmas as the installer said we had one of the last spots on their busy schedule of installs. We are still adjusting to the bold colour and pattern. I really like it with the sheet set I bought years ago from the Oxfam store.

de Gournay + Anthousa

When we were trying to find wallpaper for our apartment earlier this year I was adamant that we were to find the perfect Chinoiserie print.  We most certainly did find this in de Gournay's hand-painted wallcoverings range. The London based company specialises in 18th century Chinoiserie designs.  However, we realised the panoramic nature of the designs would probably not sit well in our little apartment. Perhaps at a later stage when we have higher ceilings! I recently discovered that de Gournay has collaborated with luxury fragrance house Anthousa to create a limited edition home fragrance. Very covetable!

Osborne & Little

Our Osborne & Little wallpaper has finally arrived! Can't wait to have it installed and see it properly. We like the simple metallic gold foliage and brightly coloured bird motifs. We wanted something botanical but not floral or too orderly. This has a good balance of repetition and randomness I think!
