The Nutcracker

With our holidays coming to an end today I have been reflecting on the events of the past month and trying not to get too down by the thought of returning to work.  What am I saying, I enjoy my work. Anyway, for me the festive season began on Friday 17 December when we attended an evening performance of The Nutcracker by the Queensland Ballet, accompanied by the Queensland Symphony Orchestra.  Dad, Leonie, Anton and Oi Lai joined us in celebrating the arrival of the festive season, the coming holidays and my birthday.  The performance, the athleticism and of course Tchaikovsky's score all magnificent.

  1. This picture makes me want to go to the opera again. Have not been there for several years. And funny enough, I went to see the Nutcraker with my daughter when she was 3 years.

I am so happy I decided to post in English. It is so nice to get in touch with you and to hear what you all think!

  2. Hi Malena,

We only recently started attending the ballet and saw Swan Lake as our first outing, we wanted to see this well-loved classic. It inspired us to see more!

I hope you decide to go again soon too and would love to see what a trip tothe ballet is like in Oslo!
